Mr. Tapender Singh is currently employed as an Instructor Electrician at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Institute of Engineering & Technology, ITI Wing, Pragatinagar, Shimla, a position he has held since August 2011. Prior to his teaching career, he gained industry experience as a Junior Electrician at Vardhman Spinning Mills Ltd (Arisht Spinning Mills) in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, and as a Technician at Samtel India Ltd. His exceptional performance at Samtel India Ltd. was recognized with a Best Employee award in August 1999.
A native of Shimla (Jubbal), Himachal Pradesh, Mr. Singh completed his ITI in Electrician from the Government Industrial Training Institute, Solan, in 1995. He further enhanced his qualifications with a CITS in Electrician from the Advanced Training Institute (ATI), Ludhiana, Punjab, in 2001. Before transitioning to teaching, he accumulated approximately eight years of experience as a Junior Electrician. This period included roles in both industry and the education sector, where he handled electrical work and taught at the private ITI Shiksha Bharti.
Mr. Singh joined the Himachal Pradesh Department of Technical Education as a contract Instructor Electrician at ITI Theog in October 2007. Subsequently, he secured a permanent position within the department. Throughout his tenure in government industrial training institutes, he has undertaken a variety of responsibilities.
